About Matthew David White

Matthew has gone from Frustrated Chump doing gopher roles to architect of global banking corporations. He's worked nights, he's worked shifts and on call, he's done Hell Desk. He's been in IT for over a decade doing various roles in various companies. Some of his jobs were fun (like the medical database company where he worked with surgeons: they had the best stories of all his clients). But while there were good points, he never got to make his mark anywhere.

The best thing he did was hang around the IT Elite - the guys and girls in IT who earned big money. That's where he learned where the big jobs were and how to get them; he moved to London because it's one of the world's banking capitals. Those IT Stars showed him how to get into the big companies; he's now worked for global law firms and mega-banks. And it was those IT gurus who showed him how to do the same roles but keep twice as much.

Now Matthew only works in the jobs that give him a buzz - roles where he can really make a difference. If he doesn't have responsibility and direction (as well as a big pay check) he'd rather be on the ski slopes. He has a number of IT projects which he has started and runs; yes because they are profitable but primarily because they are fun.
